Director of Admissions

The Community Schools at Opportunity Farm and Camden, a private alternative high school, is seeking a responsible, results-oriented Admissions Director who can work in a fast-paced environment both independently and in collaboration with program directors. This position requires creativity, a high level of organization, strong interpersonal communication skills and effective decision-making. Must be able to inspire enthusiasm and interest in our programs, have excellent written and oral communication skills, be comfortable with public speaking, and have a minimum 3-5 years experience in a school or non-profit setting. Student advising experience helpful. Duties include: actively cultivating and maintaining relationships with sending schools and organizations; recruiting interested students; conducting applicant home visits; managing student enrollment records, data base and alumni requests; and presenting programs at schools and organizations throughout the state. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position based in Camden and New Gloucester. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel extensively throughout Maine.
